3 A person must take responsiblity for his/her actions because in most cases people are faulty for things that happen, so you should look at the other persons point of veiw about and apologize for the part that you are faulty for because there are two sides to every conflict.
I think all of them if thats an answer because all these things have showed up in the book and have happened to people in the book alex having to be with sol for drunk driving alex in jazz band nd more things like that
I think all of them, because it all represents both of them, and I think Sol has already learned those, and it took a bad consequence to make him understand, and I think Sol is just trying to get Alex to see those before he has a bad consequence.
I think 1 because Alex seems to be taking his music to seriously lately and i think he needs to lighten up and do more things like when he came up with the idea for a benifet concert his main reason was to play guitar.
I think " the world does not revolve around me" is what Sol is trying to get to Alex. First is because if Sol wasn't so stuck on himself he and gone with his wife to see his daughter then his wife may be alive to this day and he may have had one big happy family. Instead however he chose to not worry about his daughter or wife and rather stay and play because the people demanded it.
They all do but i think that number 4 is the most likely because Sol told him that because of him(Sol)he didn't go to the hospital when his daughter had the flu. And because of him his wife died in a car accadent.
I think that that the advice that Solomon would want Alex to learn would be that there are consequences both bad and good for everything that he does. Which already kind of new from the drunk driving insident. But he needs to realize that.
life does not revolve around "i" or "me" b/c alex thinks a lot about him, but starting to think about others.
I think Solomon wants Alex to learn that life is not just about him and that his actions will affect other people around him, even people that he really cares about.
2 That all actions have consequenses and that you need to know what you have before its gone or you won't appreciate it when you have it. Don't do something that you will regret.
I would have to say number 2. Because, Solomon made a choice that ended up having his wife dieing. Sol wants Alex to know to be able to think about what kind of consequences there could be for each kind of answer or action or decision you make in your life and to chose the best outcome.
Number 2 because both Sol and Alex have made some mistakes in life and I think Sol wanted Alex to realize that all the actions we take have consquences.
life does not revolve around I or me because that's mostly who ALex thinks about, and that's why Sol's wife died. Both Sol and Alex need to think of other people first before themselves.
I think Sol really wants to get across that (2) there are consequences - both good and bad - for ever decision you make because Sol includes the fact that his wife was SOL'S consequence. I think he is trying to make Alex understand that you need to accept your consequences and move on because they will happen all the time... even when your Sol's age.. which is old :)
i think about what you like more before you make a important dissition
I think that Sol was trying to show Alex that he needs to take responsibility for his actions . I feel this way because Sol had just told Alex that “but” dose not cut it and a person needs to take responsibility for his/her own actions then he told a story about how his wife died to show Alex that if he had never said “but” his wife could still be alive.
A person must take responsibilty for his/her actions. because sol was telling alex what he had to do after his wife died and how he felt when he didn't go with her to see judy.
i think (2) there are consequences - both good and bad - for ever decision you make because Sol tells Alex about his wife's accident and i think he was trying to get this across... For everything you do there is some kind of cosequence if its good or bad no matter how old or young you are
2. There are consequences (both good and bad) for every decision you make, because everything you do has a consequence and Sol's consequence is loseing his wife and Alex is communtiy service, where he is actually learning something from Sol.
i thind that sol want alex to realise that his wife died from a drunk driver and killed her and he also wants alex to know that he could have killed someone because he was drinking and driving
Sol wanted Alex to know not to drunk drive because he doesnt want him to kill someone or himself. Drunk driving killed one of the important things in his life.
i think the advice that sol should give alex is that there are many consequences in life and hes not always going to get away with everything so just dont do it.
I think Sol wanted Alex to learn all of these things from his personal experience, however I believe that one was to be noticed over all. There are consequences both good and bad) for every decision you make. In Sol's experience when he chose to stay, he didn't walk out on the gig and dissapoint his fans, but he did lose his wife forever and the trust of his daughter. He is trying to show Alex that you have to be careful when making decisions and you have to decide what will be the worst consequence or best consequence for that decision before you make a mistake that you will forever regret.
i think that he was letting alex know that tthere are possitive and negative consequences that happen for every choice we make
I think three because most of the time faulty stuff happens because of something you or somebody else has caused.
I think both 2 and 4 because there are always consequeces for your actions and your life doesnt revolve around just you.
I think all of them but consequenses is the strongest becuase all of them revolve or happened becuase of consequeses and really Alex needs to wake up and see what is going on around him and think things through before he does somthing cause he might just end up in ruins.
i think that Sol would want alex to follow the advice that his life shouldnt revolve around music because Sol lost his wife because he stayed at his gig and his wife got hit by a drunk driver
I think Solomon wanted Alex to realize the fact that you don't know what you have until its gone. He wants him to realize that he has a special girl in his life that he should hold on to before time is up. Because no one knows when ones time will be up and he wants him to live life to the fullest.
A person should take responsibility for his/her actions because Sol really regrets what he did because he nevver saw his wife again and his daughter doesn't want any thing to do with him after the death of his wife.
i would have to say 2 because everyone has the conequences for the bad decitions that they make.. theres always the bad but you always learn from them and thats what makes the good!!!
3. A person must take responsibility for his/her actions because Sol regrets what happend that night so much and he would do anything to take it back. Also to prove that he stoped playing the guitar ever since.
Number two because Alex is impulsive and doesn't think about what he's doing so he should know that.
2, because not only Alex but everyone in life has to go through consequences and since Alex's life has been tough he has to make a lot of decisions
I think (2) that there are consequences both good and bad, because Sol made a mistake from always ignoring or not giving much love towards his daughter, and he felt bad about his wife, but you have to move on no matter how hard, sad, scary or good it is, and you just have to face your fears, and accept the consequences that you have, because Alex made a poor decision, and now he is facing the consequences. So I think that Sol is trying to teach Alex a lesson in his own way.
I say all of those ansers becasue they are important in life and in this book and if you take one out like in mr. doolins example of the videos they just stop and the whole plot doesn't make any sense at all.
I think that number three works best because of the fact that you have to take responsibilty for what we cause.
I think Sol wanted to tell Alex that "life doesnt revolve around music." (1)
i think the one that says "there is a good or bad consequence for every action" because its so true! if you do something there is gunna be a good or bad conseguences.
all of them because all of them apply to alexs situation and how he acts
i think 3 because everyone needs to take responsibility for their actions.
I think that it would be number 2 because sometimes a bad choice can lead to consiquices where you can learn or where you can end up hurt but in could aslo end up hurting someone else.
I think Solomon wanted Alex to take something from the third- a person has to take responsibility for their own actions because sometimes people dont and it can cause problems.
I think 4 because Alex is selfish and he is trying to become nonselfish. You should do things for other people, Sol should have spent more time with his familly. That would have been less selfish than him playing the guitar for his satisfaction
i think that sol was trying to tell alex that there are good and bad consequences for every choice you make
I would say 2 because evry choice has a good and a bad conciquence
I think Sol wanted Alex to learn all 4 of the coices. He is the kind of person that wants you to learn all that you can!
2. There are consequences (both good and bad) for every decision you make. because if you do something that seems good, it might not be in the end. like how sol had to keep playing instead of going to the hospital with his wife for their daughter. and by doing so his wife didnt get to the hospital. because of a drunk driving.
number 2
I think all of them becuase they show up off and on throughout the story.
I think that all of them would be good advice for Alex, but the best one for this experience is 4-"Life does not revolve around "I" or "Me," because the whole time Sol just wanted to play music and only cared about that and not his family. Then he realized that what he did was wrong and should have spent more time with his family, when he could of. So he is trying to show Alex that don't ever take things for granted and don't revolve around yourself and forget others. He wants to let Alex know that he should spend time with the people that love him and that he loves and know that time is precious.
I believe that it would be "There are consequences (both good and bad) for every decision you make" because even the smallest of things could cause a consequence that will help you or put you withen a conflict.
I think they all play in with Sol trying to make Alex learn from his own personal experiences. I think that because they have all showed up in the book. And they all played in his story. Sol revolved around his music. He came to a consequence, with his wife dieing. He has taken' responsibility and it wasnt really his fault. And he learned life does not revolve around one person.
i think 2 b/c alex drunk and drove so he got setenced to be with sol and that sence sol didnt leave the concert his wife died
he would want him to learn
1.that your life shouldnt revolve around any little one thing but around the people you love.
2.No matter what your actions are thier will allways be consequences that will be good or bad depinding on what you do.
3.You allways need to own your actions nomatter what they are.If you were stupid enoughf to do it then you have to take the punishment.
4.Life dosnt revolve around anyone person.
2 because Sol has made so many mistakes in his past that he doesnt want alex doing the same thing to himself.
i think both of these are what sol wants Alex to learn..
There are consequences (both good and bad) for every decision you make.
A person must take responsibility for his/her actions
i think that sol was trying to teach alex all of those lessons so he would get the idea of what will happen when he dose someting
he wanted alex to learn all of them because they're all true.
there are consequences in life good or bad so try and make the best one.
I think that Sol wants ALex to Learn from his actions that he made. So far I think that Solomans point os getting through go Alex.
i think a person must take resposibility for his/her actions because sol feels guilty for not being there and he thinks it is his fault because he was thinking about himself and now he is taking resposibility for it.
