Mr Sonnenblick i think that you should make a sequel to this story its one of the best i have read, i have not realy understanded why we read i use to find nothing in it but now i see that its an enjoyment we reading so thank, and i liked everything about this book.
wow, is all i can say. That book to be honest was very emotional. a great portion of the book was very sad, some parts were funny but it all tied together so well in the end. I think the best parts were the waits and suspense for laurie and alex to kiss. there were so many things that tied them together, even horrible obsticles in the story braught them closer. all i can say is that i really like this book, good job.
yes i did like your book. yes i would like to read another one of your books when i get the chance too.
i think that sol was prod of alex and judy and i really like the book, ill have to read 1 of your other books
yes u really liked this book. I liked how he added so much hyperbole and made it so fun, and i would defanitly read another one of his books!
Mr. Sonnenblick I really enjoyed your book. I would like to read more of your books. I felt sad and happy and laughed while I was reading it. I disliked that Sol died.
Mr. Sonnenblick I think that this was a really good book and i like every thing in it. I think that you should make a sequal so that we can find out if his parents get married or if Alex and Laurie start dating.
I think the book was really good. You did REALLY well on the details, I got a really good mental picture of the book storyline. You also did very well of writing it so we could recoginize the feelings a little bit more than other books. Thanks again.
That was great and when sol died it cut me deep.
Mr Sonnenblick i think that you should try writing a book to where Sol doesn't die because yah i liked it in all but it was so sad......
This book was one of the best books I have ever read personally. I would choose to totally read this book again alone if Mr. Doolin does not consider reading this book again aloud in class like we have been. Based on this book, I believe that I would love his other books with all of the teen slang or elderly slang and whatnot.
Yo mr. S this book puts the ice in cream dog. This book was totally awesome. I like how you put humor through the whole entire book. I also was impressed that you didn't make Alex and Laurie kiss. I knew from the time I met Solomon that he was going to die. :( I really liked your book!!!!!!!!
Mr.S, I liked the book a lot it totally made my top 5, but the ending tore me apart. And I would love to read more of Mr.S's books, but only if they are as funny, and realistic as Notes!
Mr. Sonnenblick, i liked the book a lot because its something a lot of kids can relate to and it was hilarious!!
I really loved this book. I don't think I had any dislikes. I thought it was awsome the way Alex started out self centered and really grew to be a really nice person.
This was an exciting book that was very entertaining not to mention extremely funny. I loved the way Alex was such a smart-alec. Anyhow the book was anything but boring. The only two reasons I could put it down was because I ran out of time to read on in class and my grade depended on it. This is to say that the book was incredible and I look forward to reading more books written by this author. Well, I guess there is one thing that completely bugged me during this book. Why wasn't Judge Judy in the book more than she was. I mean she was an important character, and although I could see her changing through her letters, it wasn't that simple for others. As an overall view I would have to say it was definitely a pleasurable experience for me to enter the world of the book "Notes From The Midnight Driver"
I really enjoyed your book! It sounded pretty much like something that kids my age or a little older would do. I like how you sort of wrapped everything together, like the thing Judy was Alex's judge and Sol's daughter. It really made the book interesting and fun. I liked how you described the characters and what they did. I really know how Alex felt when Sol died..it's not fun. :( Also I am planning on reading your other books after this one and im sure they will be just as good or better than this one! :)
Mr. Sonnenblick I have really enjoyed thiis book very much. this is definently in my top 10 bookks thanks.
Mr Sonnenblick I did like your book very much, it made a connection with alot of people, and it was interesting, I think you should also make a sequal, so we can find out what happened to some of the characters in the story, like Alex's parent, Alex and Laurie ect. I also would read some of the other books that you have written.
I enjoyed this book very much because it related to me in a few ways. There has been some things in my family that is just like Alexs problems so it was very relatable. I think that everyone who reads this book would enjoy it.
Mr. Sonnenblick I love your book, "Notes from the Midnight Driver." I liked best the part where mom pulled a "gotcha" on everyone. I didn't li8ke the fact that Solomon died. I would love to read all your other books!!!! I wish that you would make a sequel to "Notes from the Midnight Driver" that would be awsome!!!!!!
Dear mr.sonneblick,
Hi,its danny again and i loved the book.you told us everything that we neededf to know.you made my mind start to race.you made me think about my life and what i needed to change.you have tought me that everything happens for a reason.no matter if you like the outcome or not.you have also tought me that when one door closes anouther will open or the same one will open latter but with a different ending.the most important thing you have tought me in this book is that people make mistakes.
sincerly,
danny m
p.s.I think you should work on anouther book for the sieris.tell us us how alex grows up, what happens with laurie and him,and with his parents.
Dear Mr Sonnenblick Iloved your book. I hope to read more of your work.
I liked the book a lot overall. Especially all the humor it really made a situation that could be boring or not interesting fun to read. I think that there should be a sequel so we can see what goes on after all of the last events in the first book.
Mr. S i like the hummor you used and how in some parts you messed with the readers minds but i didnt understand why the book ended the way it did. but thats just me. it was a great book i guess.
Mr sonnenblick i really enjoyed this book. One thing i really liked about the book was your syntax and diction of the book. There wasn't anything that i did liked about this book. This is a book that i will for sure suggest to others.
I really liked this book. I've never read a book like it before. The best part about it was that it was so realistic. I loved how Alex had so many mixed feelings because alot of people at this age have these kind of mixed feelings. They don't know how to interact with people they've known for they'r entire life and understand what kind of changes thaey are going through.
i really did like this book and i would like to read the next book i think the reason i liked it so much is because the book is just the right age group also i thought you should have extended the book longer and told more about each character. i think that mr.doolin should teach theach this to the other grades
i liked this book i liked eveything about it except that it doesnt answer all of your questions. i still want to know what happens with Alex and Laurie. Also i would love to read some of his other books also.
I thought this was a good book and that it is something that people of any age would like. I like how you made Sol and Alex kind of sarcastic because it reminds me of my own family where people young and old can be sarcastic all the time. The one thing I did not like was that it never seemed to tell what happened with Laurie and Alex it just left a little hint. Based on this book I probably would read other books you wrote.
I loved the book it was amazing and i would love to read to sequel!! i can't say anything i don't like and i can go on and on about what i do like!
I loved your book I think it had wonderful suspense which made me want to continue realding on. I think that you should make another book beacuse I want to see what happens with Alex and Laurie and Alexs mom and dad. I would most deffanatly read another one of your books.
I think this book was VERY well written. I liked how Mr. Sonnenblick used alot of humor and hyperbole to really emphasise his strong points. This made it SO much more fun to read. I will definitely look for more books by Sonnenblick to read. :)
I liked the book a lot its a great book i like the things that happen in it. It all seems so real.
Mr. Sonnenblick i loved your book. I will eventually read another one of your novels. Thanks for writing a great book.
Mr. Sonnenblick where did you get the character for Laurie from???
This book was amazing! i could really relate to some parts of it and it made me like it even more! I loved how u made it so suspensful when alex and laurie were about to kiss! I usually dont enjoy books i HAVE to read for reading class but i actually liked this one!
I agree with everyone that you should make a sequel! The way you made the characters like laurie and alex was great! i love how they worked out together.
Mr. Sonnenblick i really enjoyed this book! In my oppion this book shows a huge lesson and the ending was amazing!!
I thught it was a great book. I would definately read it again. It could be one of those books that I read for fun. I enjoyed it. Good job Mr. Sonnenblick. I would like to see it in a series though. I really want to know what happens with Alex and Laurie, Sol and Judy, and Mom and Dad. Thats what really interests me.
Sincerely,
Brookey Stoddard
P.S. I hope I spelt your name right. Don't take it offensively. Its just hard to spell. Just like my last name. Funny we have that in common.
Dear Mr. Sonnenblick,
This story was amazing and I loved how relatable it was. I think that you did a great job making this story suspenceful and an easy read with a good point. I really enjoyed this book and plan on reading more books by you.

Mr.S this book is now one of my all time favorites, through use of much hyperbole and humor you tackle real life issues such as divorce, love, friendship, selfishness, forgiveness, and death. I found this book can relate to my life in very many ways. Usually as i read a book i can see the movie in my head in this book i WAS the movie, i could very easily put myself in alex's shoes. The humor in this novel was also outstanding, i especially liked your descriptions of brad. If you look deep enough into this book there is much to be learned, like how to deal with many life issues. Once again this is one of my favorite books and i thank you for writing it. I look forward to reading your other books.
this book is so good!!! i would love a nother following story about what happens to alex. this book really shows how teenager can be and i love that. so many of my classmates i think could connect to this book which made it even better.
I really think Mr. Sonnenblick should make a sequal to this book! Honestly, this is the only novel i have ever read in my life front to back. I REALLY liked how he used hyperbole and humor. It made the book so much fun.
Dear Mr. Sonnenblick,
I totally can relate with this book. I have had to pay for my actions before. I would love to read your other books when I get a chance. I liked how you use the discriptional laguage. I hope you continue the book by telling what happeneds with Alex's family also with Laurie and the new baby.
Thank you
I think the book was fantastic eventhough some parts were sad i still liked it.
I thought this was a great book and should how choices should be made, and how you need to help others, especially when they NEED it. I loved this book!! Although you should consider putting chapter numbers when one starts and a table of contents!!
Hey mr. s, it's me Spencer again. Hey I knew Sol was going to die. I think that that was a good decision for the book. It really advanced the plot, I thought he already knew that Judy was the Judge alex kept writing too. It came to me a suprise that he didn't know even that much. But your book was the best one i've ever read. Seriously. It puts the Sock in Soccer. That book is the bomb!!!!!!!!!!
This book would make a great sequel. I am dieing to know what will happen next to Alex.
i liked this book alot i liked the humor and the romance, there wasnt much i didnt like
I thought this book was one of the best books ever.
Mr. Sonnenblick,
I think that your book was pretty cool. It is honest emotions of a teenager which we all can pretty much to relate to at some point in time. It is truely a great book and i would love to read it again. I love how you used sarcasm so much that it created suspense and laughter to read on in the story. I think i am going to enjoy reading your other books. it is really cool that you wrote a book like this to show how much someone needs love and care when they think they dont need it or want it. this book i love because it shows how one needs to learn from ones mistakes like everyone needs to. Thanks so much for writing and thanks for writing back to some of our blogs.
Mr. Sonnenblick I LOVED your book! I am currently reading Drums, Girls & Dangerous Pie it it good so far as well. I liked pretty much everything in your book keep up the good writing.
PS. your technique on getting hooked on reading has been working for me and I'm now reading more thank you.
i liked everything accept the part where sol dies. its too sad for a humor book eventhough it is a great and sad ending
