- An 8th grade English teacher for the past 16 years, my interest in photography began in my early teens. An avid Fuji Velvia shooter for years, I finally purchased my first digital camera, a Canon 20D, in January of 2005. I started my photography business on the side in 2004, and it has grown into a second career. I love how my teaching profession and photography business work so seamlessly together. Today, I find myself shooting in excess of 100,000 images a year, including wedding imagery, senior and family portrait work, sports team and action shots, and my true passion, landscape and wildife. I'm actually doing what I always dreamed and I feel totally blessed.

I think we are to learn that we may make mistakes but ou dont have to be very out there to solve it like Alex does.
I think we will learn that in life nothing goes the way you expect it too and people get upset.
i think that half way through the story that it is getting better as we read and more interesting
At the halfway point i think that we've learned a lot an will keep learning more and more about life.We learned from the book that nomatter what happens it happens for a reason.To have a bad day comes witha good day sooner or latter.One thing that this book has told me is that no matter what you do or what happens it all get better at some point in life.Life throughs opsticas at you and you have to learn to cop with them.
At this point in the book i think that what we are suppose to learn about from this book is that you need to think things throught before you do them because you might actually think that it is stupid and decide not to do it. Also i think that we are suppose to learn that you only have one chance in life to do something and you should take that chance and use it wisely.
We can learn a lot from this book. For one, we can learn that sometimes you make a bad mistake but you learn from it..because in the book Alex drove drunk and got into a wreck, but then when he got sentenced to be with Sol he hated it and then after a while he started to like it, and wants to do it more. So like he learned that what he did was wrong and then he learned from it with the help of Sol. Also you have to take life as it comes, and you never know how something might turn out to be. In the book it said that Alex wasn't happy about his parents divorce, and he hated them fighting all the time, but after he helped his mother get through some rough times he sort of got over the fact that his parents got divorced. Then his dad and mom stay the night with eachother, and Alex wasn't expecting that at all. So you just kind of have to take life in as it comes and learn from your mistakes, because you never know how something might just turn out. :)
i believe that we are to learn that u don't always get what u want. if u want something like alex does then u have to get it or do it yourself. alex wants Sol not to be so mad at him so he's going to the Cha-KINGS to get some help for a music concert at the N.H.

I think we are to learn that life doesn't always go the way we want it to.

From reading this book I relize that i definatly need to think before I do things. Also if i am mad or something I will not just go out and drink underage.I cannot wait until we finish the book because I feel that I will learn more.
Is that you have to to or try other stuff. And not just stick with the same boring routine.Also to keep in mind who are your friends or people you can trust.
That we should think before we act and live life carfully but not to carefully and not to do something we might regret.
From the midpoint of "Notes from the Midnight Driver" I think that there is a couple different things we've learned that would help us in life. I think the author is trying to tell us that we should not expect everything you think is going to happen, for example when Alex goes to see Mr. Lewis, he does NOT like him, but once he got to know him, he actually wants to extend the time to spend with him.
I think we can learn a lot from reading Notes such as:
1.If you are going to do/say something before you say it, so we dont wind up doing something as stupid as what Alex did.
2.Friends can help you with everything, but sometimes words hurt and apeerently in The chapter "Am I a great musician or what?" Alex hurt Luar by talking about Stephanie Simon the way he did.
I think that we will learn what not to do and how to start caring more about people. When I read this book it makes me want to go to a local retirement home and help some one. Well that is if they need help.
I learned that helping people and being good is going to get you somewhere in life. And if you are a carless FREAK that is hopless you really arnt going to get anywhere in life
We are to learn why we should drive safely and not be stupid and get totally hammered before stepping up to the wheel.
I think that things don't always happen the way we think they should like how Alex's parents might be getting back together.
What I have learned about this is to never get drunk and drive because you might kill a lawn nome

We can all learn a lot from this book.. first of all, to control your anger. Alex is getting better at it though because at the beginning he got really mad at his dad for going on a date with his third grade teacher and when his dad told him that he was moving to Philly, he didn't get really mad like last time. Second we can learn that in the beginning you might hate something but in the end you can end up loving it. For example Alex didn't really like the idea of spending 100 hours with some lame old guy but now he can consider Solomon one of his best friends. Therefore there is a lot we can learn from this story right now.
I think we need to learn from this book that we need to accept new things and challenges. I think this because Alex is a kid who would have never wanted to go help in a nursing home, and now he kinda enjoys it. Also I think we need to learn that we need to accept new people and let them teach us something. Like Alex has learned alot from Sol... so maybe half of what he learned was Yeddish, but still! Sol has made Alex a new person, like on page 127 Alex expresses 5 reasons why a concert would be good, and this shows that he really let Sol effect him and make him a better person because in the beginning of the book he would not have cared about people in a nursing home, but now he enjoys going there, and even wanted to put on a concert for them.. and he did ;)
I think were going to learn a lot of lessons from the characters mistakes and watch them experience many dirastic changes.
xowI think we can learn alot of things from this book, but there is one pretty important lesson that we can learn is think before you do something and make a wise decision otherwise there will be consequences, like Alex made poor decision and he didn't think about it, so now he has consequences, but he is learning his lesson, and is trying to make wise decisions from now on.
I think we learn that we all make mistakes and we have to live with the outcome of your mistake.
I think we learn to live the moment. Like Alex he usually makes a fool of himself in important situations. He doesn't know how important Laurie is to him. She tries to help him a lot but he doesn't listen. Another thing is to take advice from friends. Like when he rode the skateboard off of the roof. That was a stupid idea. She warned him but he didn't listen
I think we will learn that life is just a big roller coast it goes up if you do something really good and goes down if you do something bad and just stops when you come to a big problem like if a rock got stuck on the middle of the tracks, but you have to figure out what to do and just go for it. For example if alex does something really good for lewis he goes up on the roller coast of "life". If alex does something that could possibly hurt lewis's feelings the coast goes down. And on this roller coast of "life" alex was just riding along and then suddenly lewis gets very ill what will he do? Honestly i really don't know.
At this point in the book I think that we are learning how important it is to keep friends and family close, because we will make mistakes and they will be the ones to help us so that we don't have to face our consequences alone.
I think that we are going to learn more about problems that every teemager faces while growing up like problems with love and friendship.

The story show how hard the life of a teenager can be and how there are always ups and downs in life

I think we will learn that if you do a wronge thing that you should learn from them.
I think that this story was wrote to help give its readers the knowlage of nothing in life is perfect and that every one makes mistakes. If no one made mistakes then life would be perfect but since there is no such thing as perfect every one no matter how popular or respected will make some sort of mistake in his/her life. Many people learn from their mistakes and others dont. I think that Alex WILL learn and use his mistake to be a better kid.

I think that so far we have learned that we she think about what we do before we do it and that there are consequence for every thing we do, good or bad.
I have already began discovering that this book talks about how growing up is not an enjoyable or perfect experience, but we learn along the way and become better people to prepare us for the harsh world in front of us.
I thinkwe will learn that life can be hard sometimes and we just have to deal with it.
I think that I learned that life can be much unexpected and that there is almost nothing that is "set in stone" like Alex's mom and dads divorce his crush on Laurie.

Now that we're halfway through the book i think the point is even though we have to suffer consequences and make the best of it all
I think there might be something going on between Alex and Laurie but it is unidentifiable now. Also I don't think Alx's Mom should have let Alex's Dad back in the house or the city for that matter. Sol is looking up and I think Alex and Sol will become great friends and have some OMG moments. It is all looking up for everyone.
