- An 8th grade English teacher for the past 16 years, my interest in photography began in my early teens. An avid Fuji Velvia shooter for years, I finally purchased my first digital camera, a Canon 20D, in January of 2005. I started my photography business on the side in 2004, and it has grown into a second career. I love how my teaching profession and photography business work so seamlessly together. Today, I find myself shooting in excess of 100,000 images a year, including wedding imagery, senior and family portrait work, sports team and action shots, and my true passion, landscape and wildife. I'm actually doing what I always dreamed and I feel totally blessed.

WOW,I say wow because its like they didnt care about alex after his dad walked in its like they only care about fighting and hating each other, and plus Alex dosent need to see his parents fight when he is hurt.
I would describe Alexes mom mean! And his Dad Strange
With only one word I would call her controling. his dad I would call relaxed.

Responsible(alex's mom) i would choose the word i choose for alexs dad because he just walzted in and said it was alex's moms fault when he didnt know he would do that...
and i choose that word for alexs mom because she was taking responsiblity for wat alex did and because she was punishing him...and sooooo will laurie
I think Alex's parents need to care about their son a little bit more than they need to about fighting, because they are getting a divorce, and that USUALLY means that they don't care about each other that well any more...
For Alex's mother i would use irresponsable becauese even if you have the most trustworthy kid in the world they'll mess up sometime, so you should not leave temptations such as drugs and keys available, and when alex awoke she didnt take responsibility when in a sence its kind of her fault. For his dad i would explain as clue less first of all he didn't take the drugs with him when he left and after he had left his mom for his third grade teacher he expected alex to respect him and listen to his responsibilitys of life speach
Well for his parents i would have to say that they are very selfobsorbed because its like they dont even care about alex. All they care about is them selves and fighting about the seperation.
ok this chapter was ok but not the best in my opinion i mean his parents fought and he found out what his problem was so ya
i would dicribe his mom as concerned because she is upset and stays by him and his dad as mad about the crash becaus someone could of got hurt.
Jeez! This chpter puts mny things in perspective. I would explain Alex's mom as irrealistic because she thinks that because Alex is a good kid at home, she thinks that he is going to be like that all the time... when in reality, kids are always going to make bad decisions. For Alex's dad I would explain him as very inconsiderate. When Alex is hurt he doesn't need his dad egging on a fight with his mom! Also, even though on page 16 it says that Alex's dad gives him a fatherly punch. Even though it is fatherly... don't you think that when you are lucky that your kid is alive, it would be more appropriate to give him a kiss on the head?!

i would describe alex's mom as irresponsible because 1st she leaves alex all alone.2nd she leaves drugs that alex can get a hold of. 3rd she has her car keys where alex can get them. 4th she expectes alex to not get in trouble. i would describe alex's dad as stupid because he liked expected alex to respct him, he didn't take the drugs with him when he left, and he seems to blame alex's mother for what is happening.
theres not really one word to sescribe them but i think his mom likes to take controll of things and wants things to go her own way.
Then for his dad kinda only cares about him self, in ways his parents are alike.
Alex's parents don't seem like they care very much...Alex was in the hospital with a concusion and had split his head open and the only thing they did was fight with each other.
I would describe his mom as concerned because even though she is mad and him and kind of him she really is worried about him and his dad as oblivious because he doesnt seem to notice that Alex doesnt really like him anymore.
For Alex's mom i would say controlling because she made a very big plan, example i will watch you do your homework, and i just think that is not right. I mean it is all right to make sure he did it but geeze!!!! And for alex's dad i would say cheap. because he did not do much for him so far and he didn't talk out a solution out at all with his dad.
i would say that alex's mom is strong because she is going through so much and is caring about everything... and his dad is kinda selfish it seems because he doesn't care too much about what is going on in the real world...
I would say thet his mom is concerned because even though she punched him she stayed with him and that shows she loves him. His dad I would say is selfish because al he did was punch Alex and fight with Alex's mom the whole time he was there and then left to go off with Alex's 3rd grade teacher.
With one word I can only discribe both of Alex's prants bewildered. They're bewildered to why Alex would drive drunk in the first place and they should've trusted him while he was home alone.
I would discribe Alex's mom as controlling, confused, scared, stubborn, and stressed because of Alex's dad, Alex's accident, leaving Alex home alone, and scared about Alex's engeries.
I would describe Alex's dad as a bit flustered, laid back, trouble free, arguesome, and funny because he likes to joke with Alex, he's not to uptight about the accident, trouble free because he doesn't seem to worried about cheating on Alex's mom, and flustered because he's a tiny bit supprised about Alex's accident.
i think that Alex's mom would be described as really protective and his dad i think is guitly.
I really think that alex's parents are taking it hard on them. i would describe alex's mom as caring beacause i think she just wants him to be safe and is protective of him and didnt think he would do something like that cuz everyones parents wanna think theyre kids are perfect. i dont know what word to describe alexs dad with but i think he may be a little too hard on alex for some things and expects things out of alex that alex doesnt want to do.
You cant really describe them in only one word they both like to have everything there way.

His mom i would call protive because she worres about alex, A LOT. I would describe alex's dad as relaxed becaus he doesn't really care that much about what alex did.
Personally this is exactly how hollywood shows the divorced couple. Two people constantly fighting. If I had to describe alex's mom in one word id say controlling cause she wants everything her way and wants it that way fast.
His dad is really STRANGE because he has like mixed feeling and his mom is STRICT because she is occuupied at work and is just mean at time with all of her rules and over protective ideas.
His mom is caring but strict. and his dad is more relaxed but i think he doesn't really care what alex does but all the alex need to do is learn his lesson.

Mom- average, because most moms would probaly react simmaler to her if their child was drinking underage and drove under age and under the influince.
Dad- conceated, because he is so full of himself that he didnt seen to realize that is choice to get with his sons third grade teacher was a major decison that would affect more than his life.

i think Alex's dad really doesnt care about him which is why he probably always makes Alex someone elses problem. his mom i think cares about him but is really upset about his stupid desion.
i think the best word for Alex's mom would be sarcastic cause she is tryin to care and be responsible and teach him a lesson by using sarcasm. Alex's dad's word would be irrisponsibe cause when he has a bad responsibility he likes to pass it on and only when its good he takes responsibility
Memorable, because she seems really caring and want to be memorable of having her baby forever

His mom is a caring parent because she thought that Alexs decision was stupid. She also punishes him. That's good.

I would describe Alex's mom confused and Alex's dad selfish.
I would describe his mom as caring but stands her ground, because she is glad that he is ok from the wreck but yet she is going to punish him for what he did because it was wrong and stupid. I would describe his dad as not so caring because he like didn't even pay any attention to Alex when he was in the hospital, instead he just argued with Alex's mom.

well thats a tuogh question becuase they seem to opposites. but it is kinda confusing becuase alexs dad is kinda mixing up the mood so i dont know how to get a word for them i guess i could use emotional.
I would say his dads pathitic because he left for Alex's Third Grade teacher. And his mom as weird. She goes and dates men and shes like 30. Just kiding

That is sort of hard to think of. I think I would describe Alex's Mom as struggling, because she is a single mom trying to raise a nowly turned bad teen and is struggling. Alex's dad is sort of selfish because he always makes Alex sombody elses problem nd does't take responsibility for his actions.

I think Alex's mom is sensitive because she is only being mean to Alex to mqake sure he realizes that drunk driving is WRONG!!!
I think Alex's Dad is horrid becuase, I think Alex is going down the path his father took and, well Alex is just doing what he thought his father would do so... leading your son to drunk driving is just... ugh ican't find the words to keep exlpaining my thoughts
I think Alex's dad is ignorent because he doesn't try hard enough to talk to Alex. I think Alex's mom is emotional because she cry's alot over simple feelings.
I would say Alex's mom caring becauase she explained how she couldnt believe Alex drank and drove, Alex's dad is a hypocrit because he told Alex about responsibility and he went and did something totally irresponsible
If I had to pick one word for each of them I would choose unresponsible for Alex's dad because his dad doesn't take responsiblity for Alex and he always doups the resposibility of Alex on his mom. For his mom I would choose caring because his mom takes responsibility for Alex and she cares anough to punish him for his actions.
I would describe Alex's mom as concerned because even though she was extremely mad at Alex for doing what he did, she still cares about him, even though Alex doesn't think so. Alex's dad i would say is irresponsible because he left his family and is thinking about himself rightnow.
you cant realy describe them both with one word... but i guess for the mom, caring because at least she was there for him.. adn for the dad would be the opicite!!!

alexs parents didnt seem to care that they were fighting in the hospital and worse infront of their son alex is a good kid and his parents need to get back together and help fix alexs life
shocking, for his mom because she did however get mad and ground him yet she doesn't seem all tha mad. WOW, also for his dad because i don't know that much about his dad yet but it seems like his dad doesn't even care for what Alex does.

I think she(his mom) is caring and loves him. But i think his dad is hipacrticle and is just willing to shake alex off.
I would use the word irresponsible to describe Alex's dad should have made a bigger deal out of the car crash. I would say that Alex's mom is caring because she was worried about him and then angery at him because she cares what happens to him
I can descibe alex's mom wiht the word, Caring. when alex was in the hospital she was so worried but at the same time angry. and then alex's dad came and i think alex's dad is irrisposible, he doesn't care for alex, all he cares about is makeing alex someone else's problem. and thats it.
Huh, by the way that Alex's parents started fighting I dont think that they cared about him.
Dad caring and mom pretective
I would discrib Alexs mom as a caring parent butt doesnt believe evering Alex sais. I would discrib his dad as confused and not trust werthy.
Mom would be caring because she is just treating Alex this way because she cares and wants him to not do a stupid thing ever again.
Dad would be hypricrit because he says he loves Alex and that he should be more responsible and Alexs dad doesnt try hard to spend time with Alex
Alexs parents act like dont care for what alex does and when he makes one mistake they take it out on him. His mom would be emtional and his dad would be uncaring. this is only so far in the book

For alex's mom i would do caring and strict because she is limiting hime to protect him. and for his dad it would be selfesh and quite since he doesn't hang out with alex much

For his mom- caring since she is doing all of that to protect him! and his dad- selfish, since he left alex and alex's mom to a third grade teacher!
Dad: Struggling, I say this because to me Alex’s dad acted like he was struggling to make a life after the divorce and still be a father figure.
Mom: loving, I say this because she went in there and told him he was dumb and never to do it again and to me that is motherly love.
