- An 8th grade English teacher for the past 16 years, my interest in photography began in my early teens. An avid Fuji Velvia shooter for years, I finally purchased my first digital camera, a Canon 20D, in January of 2005. I started my photography business on the side in 2004, and it has grown into a second career. I love how my teaching profession and photography business work so seamlessly together. Today, I find myself shooting in excess of 100,000 images a year, including wedding imagery, senior and family portrait work, sports team and action shots, and my true passion, landscape and wildife. I'm actually doing what I always dreamed and I feel totally blessed.

I think that it is a good way to tell a story using humor. it seems more real and interesting.
I think it's funny that the author uses humor to describe Alex being drunk. Eveyone needs a laugh now and then.

Alex is a very bad drunk. I think he should have kept his mouth shut when talking to a police officer and not jumped so high knocking of the coffee on to the sargents lap making him scream and having to change pants.
I think the author is using humor because a lot of the time teens think bad stuff is funny. It also tells what type of person alex is.
It is different to have a teenager make a conscious choice and to drink and drive

I think that the way he uses the humor is what makes the book good and makes you laugh
i think it was funny when Alex was drunk and started laughing when he puked on the police's waketalke. Also when he said Sarg was the ambulance
Its soo funny how Alex has hummor. He's just like any normal teen on a friday night. But it is great that he has humor

Ha Ha Ha Its funny how the auther describes Alex barfing all over the policmen. If I was his mom I would havelocked te boose cubbord and took the keys with me.
humor tends to hang on to the reader and keep them reading. So using humor is kinda usual to find in a book.
I think that the author wants to show the kind of behavior that can be expected from Alex, such as him choosing to blame his mistake on his mother who happend to leave alcohol keys and a car at home.
I think that is a good way to tell the story because younger readers will relate to it more than if it were serious. It also makes the book more interesting and fun to read.
i think that in a way it is acually a good thing because it CAN TECH KIDS WHO READ THIS THAT IT IS NOT SMART TO DRUNK AND DRIVE AND IT TEACHS THE CONSEQUENCES OF MAKEING A MISTAKE....I THINK IT IS A GOOD THING.I LIKE THE WAY HE DID IT.....
i think that the chapter was really good but it was not so good that alex got drunk. but anyways it was funny and i really really liked it a lot.
I think the author used humor to help us get a grasp on alex's charatcter, and to try to make a very seriouse issue ( braking the law) a little brighter.
I think it is okay... but in some situations like this, I don't think it is used in the right way, but in other situations like when he snuck out, or something like that, that would be okay in my opinion.

i think it ok for Jordon to use houmer to show that alex is mad at his mom and dad because it makes the book way better.

I think i'm going to enjoy this book because it is something that teens hear all the time if they watch MTV. It is fun to read. i laughed at the parts when Alex was talking when he was drunk =D
I beleive this is a good way to tell a story, because if the author was too serious no one would want to read the story and it keeps the readers going. And i can beleive and see this happening.
I think its funny. This author is great for using humor to try to make a bad time sorta funny. It does suck that this happened to him but alwell.
I think that everyone makes mistakes and the best way to remember them is in a humorous way and i really like how she gave Alex a personality where he can make light of his stupid mistakes.

I think the humor was appropriate because Alex is a teenager in the book and usually teenagers are funny it would heve been serious if it was an adult.
I think that the humor adds a little "spice" to the story. It is funny that the author doesn't do a "poor me" type of thing... it really brings out the truth in Alex. You can predict that he is a very honest person by the way that he told about when he was drunk. It was very straight forward! I think it is very appropriate that the author used humor to show a teenager conciously breaking the law by drinking and driving.
i think the author is a very kinda true and real person discribing a very messed up individual. its great how he uses humor to lighten up the book. its very real which makes it worth reading. and its funny so thats a bonus

Telling a story like this makes the characters seem more relatable and humor always makes things a bit more interesting to read in my opinion.
